Home Academic Year in Madrid Academic Program Personalized Monitoring

Personalized and Continuous Monitoring

The first phase of the process is carried long-distance. At this point, Club de Español takes charge of processing all documents and of carrying out any needed procedures for the start of the program in Madrid. Our advisors are available to both student and parents in order to facilitate information and to help at every step of the process.

There are a few important aspects to consider before making such an important decision. A previous knowledge about the Spanish educational system is just a mere example. It is extremely important to be well informed of the peculiar characteristics of the Spanish educational system, and the differences that may exist between the student's country of origin. This information is helpful to have at the time of course confirmation. Club de Español can provide expert information on these and other questions to simplify the task for both parents and educational institutions abroad.

One more important aspect to be aware of is the language level. Club de Español requires a previous knowledge of Spanish in order to register in the program and administers language level tests to all students before registration.

For those who might not get the minimum score, we would highly recommend that they enrol in an intensive Spanish course over the summer prior to the academic course at Colegio FEM.

Once the student has arrived to Madrid, Club de Español organizes an initial orientation and welcome session regarding the most important aspects of life in the city, the school and the family. At this time, the student will meet their personal mentor at Club de Español and the person whom they can contact for any sort of problem.

From that moment onwards, and during the student's time in Spain, the mentor at Club de Español will closely follow the student's situation, adaptation and progress, and will be in close communication with the parents, serving as a link between them, the school and the host family.

Upon termination of the program, the Club de Español mentor will be in charge of managing and processing all the necessary academic documentation.
